Katie's interest in art stems all the way back to her time back home in Salinas, California. With a little Flip video camera gifted to her from her father, she created music videos, fashion shows, and comedy skits with her willing family members. Every weekend she was watching a new movie whether that be in the theatre or on the couch cutting coupons with her mom. Film was instilled in her and gave her an incredible sense of hope, familiarity, and belonging. 

Katie's great ambition and love for film led her to leave her hometown and attend Cal State University Fullerton. She achieved her bachelor's in Cinema and Television arts and jumped right onto set. Her goal now is to not only create beautiful moving pictures, but to give back to audiences and give them the same sense of joy and belonging she felt when watching her favorite films.
